1000w SMPS for Audio Amplifiers

This is 1000w powerpack i personally designed using two PQ2620 core as the transformer.

The topology is flyback. It is very sensitive to destruction, and as such, i tailored the control circuitry to a much more optimized phase to help combat the vulnerability.

It is specially designed for Audio use. The output voltage is +/-35v @ 14.5A. The mains reservoir bank is made up of 3 x 330uF, 450v electrolytic to help combat potential slag during power delivery.
The output caps are more than enough for an SMPS due to its traditional frequency of 20khz- 3Mhz.

I used up to 4700uF caps at the output because the output rectifier is a in half-wave configuration, this high capacitance will provide wide accommodation to minimize potential slag during the low frequency pumping stage of the amplifier attached to it.

The Mosfet stage is in TO220F package. I used this because of space issue. The mosfet is FQPF11N80. The controller is KA3842. For more advanced question regarding this, feel free to ask
